In this lesson

  1. Reconciliation checks every cash movement, one currency at a time. Each currency has its own section with an ending balance. The Base Currency Summary shows both currencies together in euros.
  2. You tick off each line against IBKR’s statement. The ending balance of each currency matches IBKR. Also pick one stock you know well and compare its average price and income with your own notes.
  3. If a section shows “Doesn’t tie out”, tell us with “Give Feedback”. The same goes for any number that cannot be right. Trade times are in US Eastern Time, like IBKR’s statement, so a trade late in the evening European time can fall on the previous day.

The example: deposit euros, trade in dollars

The EUR section shows €50,000 deposited, then €5,000 more in September 2025. You change almost all of it into dollars, with a small commission each time. What is left matches IBKR’s Cash Report.

The USD section lists every purchase and sale on its own line, and every premium, dividend and tax as well. Choose June 2026 at the top and you find the Keurig sale on June 18, 2026 at +$12,000 and META’s dividend. The ending cash matches IBKR.

The Base Currency Summary adds both currencies together in euros.

Where to find it in Rendity

On the Reconciliation page. It has one section per currency, here EUR and USD, plus the Base Currency Summary. Choose the month at the top.
