Rendity receives your account statement, once a day.

“Is it safe? Who can see my data?” That is the most important question before you connect your account. This page explains exactly what happens and what Rendity receives, as our Privacy Policy also states.

Your Interactive Brokers accountYou decide what goes on the account statement that Rendity fetches each day.
Rendity, servers in FrankfurtFetches the daily statement and does the math. The newest statement covers up to yesterday. Today’s trades arrive tomorrow.

Rendity cannot place orders or transfer money.

Only the daily statement

Rendity connects through the Interactive Brokers Flex Web Service. To set this up, you create a Flex Query there once and generate a token. You give Rendity the token and the Query ID. With these, Rendity can only fetch the account statement that Interactive Brokers creates once a day.

That is why Rendity does not see live prices or today’s trades. What you trade today shows up in Rendity tomorrow at the earliest.

With this access, nobody can place orders, transfer money, or change settings in your account, and that includes Rendity. You never enter your Interactive Brokers password in Rendity.

What gets fetched

Exactly the sections you check in your Flex Query. The setup gives you the list, so Rendity can calculate your numbers completely and accurately.

  • Account information: account number, base currency, date opened

  • Your Google password, if you sign in with Google
  • Full card details, which our payment provider processes

Hosted in Germany

Your data is stored on servers in Frankfurt am Main. We use only data centers in Germany. However, our hosting contract is with OVH US, LLC, a US company. In theory, US authorities could therefore demand access. To protect against this, we have a data processing agreement, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable, and encryption of sensitive credentials.

Every connection runs over HTTPS/TLS. Your Flex token is encrypted at rest with AES-256, and we store passwords only as hashes.

Who sees your data

Your portfolio is tied to your own Rendity account. There are no shared views and no comparisons with other users. To run Rendity, we work with a few service providers: OVHcloud (hosting), Brevo (delivery of our emails), and Stripe (payments). All of them are listed in the Privacy Policy.

  • Rendity does not sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • Rendity uses no third-party analytics trackers and no advertising cookies.
  • Rendity shows no ads.
  • We look into your Rendity account only when we need to, to answer a question from you or to fix a technical problem.

Delete whenever you want

Under Settings → Delete account, you remove your account and all its data, immediately and permanently. Anything we are required by law to keep, such as invoices, stays for as long as the law requires. If you only want to start over, you can reset your imported data and keep your account.

Separately, you can revoke the token at Interactive Brokers at any time. From then on, Rendity can no longer fetch anything.
