  1. The dashboard answers three questions, top to bottom. At the top you see what it is all worth. Below that you see how it is split, and further down what needs attention.
  2. “As of” shows where things stood yesterday. Prices and trades come from the statement IBKR creates once a day. For a live price, for example to buy back a call, use IBKR itself.
  3. Every holding opens its own page. Under Holdings, “View position” takes you to the stock’s page. The position lessons explain that page.

The example: an account with Apple and one open call

You open the dashboard and check the date in the header first. It shows where things stood yesterday.

The allocation ring shows today’s value and what has changed since yesterday. At the end of the value chart you see portfolio value and invested capital. The gap between them is what the account has earned. If you only have ten seconds, look at this point first.

When you hover over the ring, you see AAPL, MA, META and cash. Apple is the biggest slice.

In the Options Planner, AAPL has one open call with a strike of $380, expiring December 18. Details shows the strike, the expiry and the shares the call reserves. With the currency switch in the header you change the whole page to dollars and back to euros, and Rendity remembers your choice.
